Drako'Zen declared the end of JRock No Tamashii '09.

Drako'Zen was the only band that played all self composed songs with Japanese lyrics during JRock No Tamashii '09.





They performed three songs which were Sink into Depravity, Gianna and Ugly's.

Sink into Depravity 
This song is about the writer who stumbled in a genocide of holocaus. Its a war of racist & religion in which he lost his home, his lover , his family. Only hatred and loneliness scared his soul.He is always wondering.. What is the meaning of religion , the genocide.. Is it an order from god ?





Gianna 
Gianna carries the similar meaning with "Sink into Depravity".

The writer lost his relative Gianna, who can be represented as his mother, lover or sister. He couldn't see cloud but only the smoke of nuclear dust in the sky.
The peaceful hometown has now turned into a sea filled with dead body. He have had so many messages he wanted to pass to Gianna but he couldn't find her.
Gianna's smile and touch will always surrounding his, even the rest of the world had turned to ash.



Ugly'S
Due to the inconvenience of using ''ass'' for a song title, Drako'Zen changed the name to "Ugly's". It is about an ugly person who is always bullied, despised and insulted by the people around him. Therefore, he think of himself as dirt and useless person. He wanted to be good looking but he can't. He lost his pride...

Drako'Zen

Drako’Zen was founded by Reiki on June 2007. Ving was the second member to joined in, who Reiki happens to knew him thru a forum. Both of them happened to have the same interest on music and decided to start this band. Later the two brothers, Kim and Meo joined the band as guitarist and bassist while Ivan the drummer was the last to joined the band, who happens to be an old friend of Reiki’s.

Drako’Zen plays hardrock , heavy metal , nu-metal and rock ballad music. Their image is considered as Visual-Kei.

Reiki - Vocalist

Born in Perak but grew up in Shah Alam, fluent in Japanese language.

Fell in love with rock music influence by his favourite idol Bon Jovi.

He used to be a drummer before he became the vocalist.

His ex-band mates forced him to become the vocalist because he is fluent in Japanese and understand each line and the feeling of the song he sings. He also have the God gifted voice of a JRock vocalist should have.

Ving - Guitarist

Born in Kuala Lumpur, loves all kind of rock music, work as an animator designer.

He admires Steve Vai since high school and he used to be a drummer before he became the guitarist.

Into JRock because JRock is something totally different from western music, JRock can be hard or soft or a mixture of genres.

He have a dream and that is to becoming a professional guitarist.

Kim - Guitarist

Born in Kuala Lumpur and studying in a design college.

interest in JRock because of his influence by his favourite guitarist Hisashi from GLAY and Sugizo from LUNA SEA.

He is talented in composing

He is Meo’s elder brother.

Meo - Bassist

Born in Kuala Lumpur , Kim’s younger brother.

He is into hardcore and rock music.

He is influenced by his elder brother, Kim and fell in love with JRock.

He have a dream and that is to become a professional bass player.

Ivan - Drummer

Born in Johore Bahru, have a lot of experience in a band.

He used to teach drums in Johore Bahru Yamaha music school.

His favourite JRock band of all time is the one and only L’Arc~en~Ciel when he was in university.

He started playing the drums influence of his favourite L’Arc~en~Ciel member Yukihiro.

Even thought his the drummer, he have a lot of knowledge on sound effects.

Additional Info about the band:

“Drako” means Dragon in Greece language, but in Chinese, Dragon is a good charm of an animal. “Drako” can put into two categories, that is the good and the evil. “Zen”, means Buddha in Japanese. We combined this names into one in order to show that our music can be good and evil .
