Spirits of Music 09 Audition

Awakening studio was packed with people since morning and this was the place for them to hang around and wait for their turn for audition. The humidity and sweltering environment does not stop every band from knowing each other and exchange musicianship.

Flicked Mind

Flicked Mind is a new emerged band that joined the JRock community recently and they were known as a tribute band to Tokyo JIhen. Fizi was extremely late for the audition. But lucky for them, judges decided not to disqualify them from auditioning.

2nd band..

Miniature Garden

Miniature Garden is no stranger to JRock fans since their performance in JRock Kingdom 2, 3, and 4 with the band name: Haze + Miniature Garden. Haze was the invited singer to perform with them because Miniature Garden is an instrumental band.

However, Stif, from Bouncing Asian was the invited vocalist to perform with Miniature Garden for Spirits of Music '09. Together, they make a great team and prepared to rock down the house!

Zounds

Zounds plays mainly hard rock and heavy metal music. With Hyro’s trendy hairstyle and his bands’ dynamite, it is not surprising if they will linger in peoples’ mind for a while.

Gemini

Can you imagine how a metal song will sounds like if it was sung by a girl vocalist? Gemini will certainly make the crowds’ jaws drop especially when the whole band head bang together while Lina growls.

Armistice

Armistice certainly has convincing stage deportment and good inter-band energy. It was fun to watch Shaun jumped around when he sung and ran towards his guitarist and made him sing along.

Endless Eternal

No doubt that Endless Eternal is considered one of the youngest and most energetic bands that came for audition. They certainly have the natural, genuine and unique stage mummeries.

Hybrid

Hybrid laid a good profile since their performance during Meet the Band gig. All members are technically competent and steady. Unfortunately, the communication, chemistry and energy of the band are lacking.

Zeolite

Nicole certainly shocked everyone when she started singing because her voice is very deep and powerful! Although the sound balance in the band was not perfectly well, each musician had successfully shown his or her personal skills.

Kawaii Sakura

Kawaii Sakura is no doubt the band with the best showmanship! Who would have though of recruiting a ‘’fake’’ keyboardist just to spice things up? Kawaii Sakura will definitely give the crowd a show to remember.

Strawberry Jam

Strawberry Jam performed in JRock Kingdom 4 and it was pretty certain that the crowd would still remember the moment Jeremy stripped while singing. Again, do not be fooled by the innocent band name, they will surely make the crowd head bang as hard as they could!

Drako’Zen

Drako’ Zen is definitely gained recognition since their appearance in JRock Kingdom 4 and they are considered one of the best local Japanese bands ever, Also, they are the only band that performed their original song during the audition.
