SCREAM Halloween Party, Sunway Lagoon

SCREAM! Halloween Party in Sunway Lagoon's Elephant Walk on 31st October was a blast! Thanks to Gerald (drummer of the band - Beat the System) for giving invitations to Spirits of Music to attend the biggest Halloween party ever in Malaysia!

The event successfully attracted over 1000 crowd and it was surprising to see how supportive Malaysians were towards such event since this is the first time it was organized. Lots of people actually took a great deal of effort to dress up as ghosts (or whatever it is) and walked around scaring people.

There were a few booths by the side of the lake, including Southern Comfort, the sponsored drink for SCREAM.

Overall the event was fantastic and the crowd was remarkable! People who attended the party were incredibly friendly and everyone just mixed around regardless race and age. However, the only flaw for the event is that the bands were playing on top on the tower, which was not visible to the crowd. Therefore, the crowd can only see the vocalist, bassist and guitarist of the band, the drummer was out of the view. So it’s a bit like listening to CDs instead of live because you can’t actually see the bands performing in front of you.

Caribbean Nite in Sunway Lagoon - 23 October 2008

The organizers of Spirits of Music, Jay and Yuki were honored to be one of the guests of

Sunway Lagoon’s “Caribbean Nite Pirate Party”.

As you can see, the whole area was well decorated, with skulls and treasures and pirates. Pretty amazing :D

The event started with series of fireworks: from the back of the stage that is situated in the middle of the water, from the volcano and they even have fireworks that splashed out on the surface of the water across the beach.

Of course, dancing and pirate fighting on stage was one of the opening performances. Undeniably, the scene was breath-taking and astonishing.

Since it was a private party organized by Sunway Lagoon to celebrate their success over the year, including achieving award such as: Asia's Best Attraction 2008 by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), there were over 140 event companies invited to join this celebration, with dozens of V.I.P guests around Malaysia to witness this memorable moment.

*Pic: Yuki was chased around by lots of 'ghosts' that night. Those people dressed up as ghosts to promote the coming event - SCREAM, which will be held in Sunway Lagoon Elephant Walk on 31st Oct 2008.

After all the introduction and speeches by the board of directors, a few famous local artists were invited to perform, which includes:

Suki, Reshmonu, Man Jiang Hong, Point Blank and others.

Well, party like this will definitely be served with awesome buffet :D

The food was unquestionably fantastic, with dozens of varieties and funny names too!

As you can see, Jay was eating non stop, even after the event ends -_-"

It was definitely an unforgettable night for both Jay and Yuki. Lots of experiences gained from joining such a function and hopefully they will get another chance to go through this in future!
